Al-Qur’an Academy (AQA) Brisbane is a religious institution (Madrasa) for adult males and females. The founder felt a great need for his community to teach them how to read Qur’an and its teachings. Hence he started this madrasa with 12 students on 8th August in 2016. The aim of this madrasa is to teach males and females who do not know how to read the Qur’an at all or need improvement in reading. Ladies’ Qur’an class has been started with 13 students on 23rd January 2021. Ladies’ class are run by Lady teachers. Ladies’ class takes place on Saturday from 10am to 12pm for 2 hours.
The male madrasa runs on Sunday after Asr salah till Esha salah. This madras also providing Online classes for the remote students from all over Australia.
Over the past four and half years Bangladeshi community responded overwhelmingly by coming to this madrasa for learning religious educations.
Currently this madrsa is teaching the following major learning areas:
a. Learning the Qur’an with Tajweed
b. Memorizing the Qur’an
c. Arabic Grammar to understand the Qur’an
