Khairul Alam (Shamim) learnt recitation of the holy Quran from a qualified Qari and hafiz at the age of twelve. He has been reciting the Al-Quran regularly since then. He has voluntarily participated in getting his recitation reviewed by a number of qualified Qurra over the years. In 2018, Mr Alam completed the IQRA Book Series at Al-Quran Academy and successfully completed a test which was conducted by an external independent examiner. He has been teaching the IQRA Book Series 1-6 since 2018. Mr Alam has project managed the development of curriculum of the Al-Quran Academy and developed practice notes for students. He has taught many students of IQRA Book Series over the past two years and assisted over ten students to successfully graduate at the Al-Quran Academy. In addition to the on campus teaching, Mr Alam currently coordinates the Online form of the Al-Quran Academy.
